Help Marshallese Communities impacted by Super Typhoon Sinlaku

Did you know that minority populations often face disparities in disaster relief, including: challenges navigating relief applications, lack of translation services, higher denial rates, and underrepresentation in planning of relief efforts leading to distrust? The most recent census in both Guam and Saipan identified Marshallese as a minority population in the region.

Nito's Wings has been in direct communication with community leaders in both locations. The items we are seeking funding for are a direct result of their communications with their affected community members.

Your help is imperative as Nito's Wings will only be able to serve Marshallese communities in Guam and Saipan with hearts of philanthropy like yours.

We're launching this time sensitive campaign with a condensed time frame as the items requested are needed immediately! We will use these financial donations to purchase the requested items in bulk. We would be honored if you were a part of it.

We plan to support these donations by sending a workforce to help offload the burden of relief from the shoulders of the local community leaders. Shipping of the supplies and workforce transportation is often covered for Nito's Wings by a partner organization that specializes in disaster responses, which means less overhead cost for our response and more direct relief for the community.

As with our previous disaster responses, although our relief efforts are targeted at a minority population our team would not turn away any requests for assistance from other populations. We are just best suited to meet the needs of Marshallese and have direct connections within the community.

By becoming a fundraiser for this campaign, you will help Marshallese Communities in Guam and Saipan, as well as you'll help your network feel they have played a part in the relief response.
